Problem
You deployed code containing a new feature.
But deployment time and feature-release time shouldn't necessarily be the same thing.
Solution — Feature Flag
Code checks configuration:
newCheckout = false
Later:
newCheckout = true
You can enable functionality without another deployment.
Core idea: feature flags separate deploying code from exposing behaviour.
