Context Graph / Decision Trail
Problem
Your company's systems contain:
What was decided ✓
but often not:
Why was it decided?
What alternatives existed?
Which constraint mattered?
What exception was made?
An agent sees the final state but not the human judgment behind it.
Solution — Decision Context
Capture relationships between decisions, evidence, constraints, actors and outcomes.
This is a way to organize knowledge. A practical starting point is an Architecture Decision Record (ADR): a document in Git or a wiki explaining a choice, its alternatives, and its reasons. Linking decisions to requirements and evidence forms a graph that can also be stored in a graph database.
For example, “Keep customer data in the EU” explains a region choice. Retrieving that decision helps an agent account for the requirement when proposing changes.

↓ Constraints ↓ Decision ↓ Reasoning ↓ Outcome
Core idea: decision trails make organizational reasoning available, not merely organizational data.
